Throughout human history, as our species has faced the frightening, terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are, or where we are going in this ocean of chaos, it has been the authorities — the political, the religious, the educational authorities — who attempted to comfort us by giving us order, rules, regulations, informing — forming in our minds — their view of reality. To think for yourself you must question authority and learn how to put yourself in a state of vulnerable open-mindedness, chaotic, confused vulnerability to inform yourself.

What is Consciousness?
Consciousness is a quality of the mind generally regarded to comprise qualities such as subjectivity, self-awareness, sentience, sapience, and the ability to perceive the relationship between oneself and one’s environment.
Probably one of the most important qualities of the mind.

Let us go back to when we were young. We were taught right and wrong, good and bad and everything that is factual in our heads(opinion) was fed to us when we were kids.
Most important things that most of us were taught to do were to:
-Obey
-Follow the Leader
-Not question The Teacher
We were never taught to think for ourselves, or allowed to ask for reasons behind everything being fed(taught) to us. It was as simple as, “Open wide and swallow. Don’t worry about the taste or smell, you’ll get used to it”.

This Blind Acceptance is how we get manipulated and controlled by anyone in a position of power. Power is Authority. Whoever is in a position to reach out and to be heard by the masses has the ability to control the way of thought of his followers.

To lie effectively you must mask your reason. Turn it into something sweet sounding and simple minded. Turn it into something swallowable.

“Why is the US attacking Iraq?”
“Because Iraq has nuclear weapons.”

They attacked Iraq. All they did was gain from a country that was rich in Oil. That was the real reason. Nearly everyone believes in/knows this. But most of them didn’t at the time of the attack. No one bothered to think of other reasons behind the attack. News channels transformed into Movie channels, their Movies portrayed how right US was in attacking Iraq.

The Media.
Possibly the most powerful weapon ever. The connection between authorities and regular people. Half of the American population listen to and believe what they are being told. Let it be Newspapers, TV or Internet. To them everything that comes out of The Media, is a fact and is true. Simple question, “Who controls The Media, the authentic voice that you blindly believe in?”

We need to question everything we are told. We need to determine the reasoning behind it. Simple reasons are easy to believe and wrap our heads around but it is time to step away from the comfort zone. Let us enter a world of confusion and open mindedness. The War on Iraq example is one of the many slip ups of The Authorities that were exposed. Racism, specifically what was done to black people in the past is another one of the significant examples. There are many still left unexposed. Let us become self aware.

Having no free will at the beginning, your life and personality start being shaped completely by those around you. Nameless hands push you from entrance to entrance, guiding you to or away from where you should and could be.

Once your self awareness grows and you show struggle under the pressure of control you begin being taught to obey. The word punishment glides over your head once you turn your face to the paths not pointed out to you, and reward glows angelically ahead of you on those you have been advised to follow. Thinking you are being your own leader, you take the paths that make those hands give you a rewarding pat on the head.. but suddenly there seem to be too many guides in your journey and you want the satisfaction of them all.

Weakness begins to overtake you as you come across too many forks in your path, and sometimes you just allow your self to be pulled along one direction, forgetting the advices and warnings that were once carved into stone, but who’s to say that you were wrong when they themselves strayed once or twice. You glide along doorways and enter the many differently shaped and colored frames, reminding your self that there are too many stones to keep track of anyway.

Then come those doors you just cannot enter, but you get a taste of their agonizingly desirable interiors. These are the portals of dreams and wishes, that are either too far fetched, or are just unstable and rendering you incapable of movement. They open only to show you distrust and close in your face.

You walk on, wanting to find more doors like the one you were denied entrance to, and you do find doors like it, here, and there. Some are too far to reach and the maze simply leads you away, but many are right by you, except a closer look makes the miraculous images and thoughts evaporate, and your mind and heart call for another entrance. Your saddest moments are those of you being allowed entrance only to be banished afterwards.

Lost, burdened and alone, you walk on, through the usual choices and decisions, the casual pains and joys of life, the severe disappointments and let downs, and stand powerless infront of barricaded doors that were once your rightful entrances to regular needs.

This is when you stop and wonder

Sometimes aims are overrated, time changes opinions and many life altering decisions are based on moods. People you build hopes around let you down, and love walks out sometimes. Do you wonder, maybe, that most of your happy memories concerning someone were just in your head?

Your life can sometimes feel like a joke, where you fail to find the punch line. Things you planned and worked on for days, months or years, can turn out to have been false investments. Why do things go that way? Is it because you aren’t good enough to keep what you want?

The answers will vary, but some go like this:

-It wasn’t meant to be

-I did all I could

-She loved someone else

-It was his fault

-I didn’t try hard enough

-It was an illusion

-It wasn’t the right time

Maybe, just maybe, all that went wrong in your life with your plans were things you didn’t expect to go right from the first place. Could you have known from the start that they aren’t what you really want? Did you even know what you really wanted?

Things go wrong, sure, but stop and remember the bad things that happened to you, and you’d wish you can go back and teach your self a lesson or two about life. Now isn’t that something? You have lessons you didn’t know of before? Experience is all you need for the right choices later on. It builds your character and wisdom, and through those, you can achieve things that you truly want and need, and you would wonder how life would have been like now if the things you were once going to settle for or even just hoped for, really did happen. Would they have lasted? Would you have found the newly acquired ambitions and goals? Would you be who you are today?

Would you like who you would have been?

Patience is the only weapon against time, because as long as you cut through it without damaging your self or the life style around you, you just might trudge along a treasure chest, and in that chest you might find the part of your heart that you never thought you’d find.

Isn’t that all anyone ever wants? To feel complete, fulfilled, to get rid of that empty space inside; to know you love someone and to be loved in return. We need a reason to be the best individuals we can be, and what better reason than a loved one there to take all the good you can give.

If you can’t have that with someone specific, then perhaps there is a 50% chance, they are not who you were looking for. How many issues have you turned a blind eye for just to tell your self “he/she is the one”?

True love is rare,but to those who found it, it was far beyond description. The loose connections would be joined at both ends, and all else will be nothing.

Do you desire that?

Then don’t hang your hopes on people who aren’t willing to respond. Give it an attempt, and try, and if hope still seems to be floating, try again; but if things don’t work out, then pick your self up from the ground, and walk right on.

And I quote from the movie Cast Away: “You never know what the tide will bring”

and moving back from the sea to land, cheers to believing that love can be waiting right around the corner.

Religions clashed, rules changed, head figures were replaced, people were banished, lands were taken from their rightful owners and given to others, and a lot of historical documentations were destroyed or re-written, wrongfully translated, forged and “Updated”.

That path of events has rendered human kind nothing less than utterly confused. As each group of people felt the need to defend their own beliefs and opinions, others felt the need to “re educate” the ones with opinions unlike their own. Religions had to be re instilled and others had to be fed to the shredder.

Struggles began, riots erupted, claimers of rights protested with banners demanding non existing righteousness. Cries for equality and acceptance rose in the air like the shrieks of a battered wife, unheard by her drunken abuser.

The masses of control, the government, the media and the self acclaimed hands of God, swim flourished in a sea of glory and possession, blind to the withering remains of their victims, rotting in front of screens that reek of blood and chaos.

On the sidelines, however, wander lost souls, that detach themselves from the bombarding influences, perhaps to be influenced elsewhere, but are there with a different air to them and minds that seek change and wish to understand the truth behind all that was and is and will be.
